Gunpowder Mills (Now Ballincollig Regional Park) Ballincollig Regional Park is a place of outstanding natural beauty lying on the south bank of the River Lee. Once the site of a large gunpowder works (1794-1903), known as the Ballincollig Royal Gunpowder Mills, it was developed into a regional park in the 1990s by Cork County Council.
